TRIO CARDOSO created the Laborartory of Experimental Research “the place of the Invisible" together with MARCO DE FOGLIO.

The Laborartory of Experimental Research “the place of the Invisible" was set up with the purpose of " giving an image to music and music to an image". The artistic direction of this project ideally borrows its moves from the reflections upon Art from a great painter and musician of the 20th century, Paul Klee (1879-1940). His poetry, indeed, is faced with the task of "filtering the different arts in order to recreate the original comunal one, the creative essence that allows an identity between sign and figure, word and image, compositional space and musical time".

In the project shown here, the music withholds an expressive centre. not, certainly, to cause a senseless dogmatism, but as a natural conseguence of the artistic experience gained by Trio Cardoso. The project contemplates un ideal route which moves amidst the notes of the Guitar ensemble and sees a series of pieces played as in any normal concert. The scenic space occupied by the trio is thought up and put together by the scenographer Mr. Marco De Foglio ; he uses the idea of a "container", a magic space that responds to extremely linear, manageable and flexible needs. Things happen in its internal space and the music every now and then encounters the words of an actor, the movement of a gymnast, the evolutions of dancers, the images of previously shot sections of short films, plays of light from luminescent sources that entertain the poliphonic dialogues of the musical notes. It is not the stasis gained from a simple superimposition of music on images (which also works so well!!), but the creation of a sacred place in which the audience is continually surprised and invited to make-believe together with the performers.

A brilliant and "structurally mutable" show that leaves the notes of Trio Cardoso dripping with colour, satisfying while never over-feeding the appetite of our senses (auditive, visual and perceptive/ sensitive) of its consumers.

 

Marco De Foglio

He received a diploma in Scenography with the highest mark to be awarded by l'Accademia di Belle Arti of L'Aquila .

He has collaborated on different occasions with l'Accademia di Belle Arti di L'Aquila and with several theatrical and musical associations, directing and acting as scenographer for numerous shows and plays.

He has always been active in the search of a form of artistic expression the realizes at its core an artistic fusion. He founded the Laboratory of Experimental Research "Places of the Invisible" with Trio Cardoso in 2004.
